Scenery construction

  • David painted wall frescoes first providing contours for the physical mountains first

  • Vladimir traced the contours and cut Chipboard to those shapes

  • Ribs were mounted to provide the physical shape of the mountain

  • The whole was covered with chicken wire

  • David then applied layers of paper towels soaked in plaster and finally spread plaster over the top to shape the mountain.

  • For completion David painted the mountains, applied model grass and planted model trees etc.
